OK so I, like every beekeeper have a storage space full of stuff. I had left a nuc there without a sealed front and noticed that there were a few bees in it. Clearly an early swarm had found my stuff and moved in. Interestingly it wasn’t one of mine. I was up for a new swarm to try out the yellow hive and here was the perfect opportunity, so I moved the box up to the Apiary and shook them into the yellow hive. Marked the Queen with a white spot and left them to it.
This is where they ended up. I was really impressed by how quickly they warmed it up and how stable the temperature was. Check out Station D for the data.
