The work-horse of my swarm collecting and the management of the apiary are the poly nucs. These are super functional and often change role. I currently have 5 nucs with 2 occupied with bees.

Swarm in an apple tree in Horsham. Growing nicely but being left to their own devices. Survived the winter so expanding now and ready to go into the white hive on Station A soon.

Awesome little nuc boxes x 2 can be used on their own or with the bee hover. Details are here. These are mainly used fro collecting Swarms. I’ll often have one in my car boot as part of my standard swarm catching gear all through the late spring and summer.
