OK so this may be a little strange but I have always though it quaint to have an honesty box out the front of the house with honey. I decided to give it a go this year and see how it goes.
Using an old hive I sanded and varnished the setup so that it looks nice again. Added some hinges so that the top flips up.
Used a length of 3×2 wood for a stand which I have painted Blue. Let me know int he comments what you think.
I can put the price list in the top and allow people to pay electronically via pay pal or Stripe. Can’t use it till late in the summer though as I don’t have any honey to sell. My gut is that Horsham is a really nice place and that people who bother to stop when passing in their car would be willing to pay so it should be OK. I’ll update here when I try it out properly.
