18/5/25 Nice quick inspection following the collection of the swarm. Saw pollen being brought in indicating that the queen is in and laying. Didn’t see any eggs but pollen indicates that there are some. Queen was caught and marked in green. Weight is stabilising as the colony establishes itself. should start rising as they begin to bring in more nectar than they are consuming.

Swarm collected from Vics field. Best guess is that this came out of the red/white poly hive a couple of days ago. Branch cut and the bees inserted into the top of the hive with an empty super to give space for the top. front sealed and left for 24 hours. Then super and branch removed and front opened up with a QE in place to prevent the Queen from leaving.

Scales and heart installed 6/2/23 heart in top box next to feeder.
