28/06/25 Colony installed. HUGE swarm from the primary school. Inserted into the hive with 5 frames of bees. The swarm had been on the frames for 2 days and had already laid some eggs. Figured it would be silly to put them into a poly nuc for a week or two and then transfer them to the hive when i had a hive spare and not a poly nuc. They were strangely well behaved as they were horrible 2 days ago when I collected them as a swarm.

I cannot seem to find the hive heart anywhere. I thought it was inside the purple wood hive but there doesn't seem to be a heart there either.
18/5/25 Currently empty. Awaiting a swarm or a split to grow.
