My new Technoset Hive, full of bees.

Key dates and log of activities
4/11/26 Had a huge swarm move into one of my nuc boxes that was in the storage area so i inserted these into the yellow hive. Tried a shook swarm rather than the usual frame transfer as i wanted to use the new frames that were in the yellow hive. I left them with a single frame of drawn comb and a load of nectar that they had been filling it with. There were no eggs but a huge beautiful queen who is now marked in White. No drones in the swarm so my guess form the size, the lack of drones the time of year and the size of the queen that this is a major primary swarm. Really impressed they had the temperature up to 18 degrees within 10 minutes and up to 30 degrees within the half hour. QE on the front to hopefully contain the queen in the hive and they are looking stable. Lets hope they don’t abscond without their queen.
2/3/26 Empty hive installed and ready. This is a new hive that I am trying made by Technoset in Greece. My initial review is here. I will fill this with a swarm or a colony from one of my over wintered nucs if they expand enough in time.
28/2/26 BWH did not survive the winter. All bees lost.
28/06/25 Colony installed. HUGE swarm from the primary school. Inserted into the hive with 5 frames of bees. The swarm had been on the frames for 2 days and had already laid some eggs. Figured it would be silly to put them into a poly nuc for a week or two and then transfer them to the hive when i had a hive spare and not a poly nuc. They were strangely well behaved as they were horrible 2 days ago when I collected them as a swarm.

I cannot seem to find the hive heart anywhere. I thought it was inside the purple wood hive but there doesn’t seem to be a heart there either.
18/5/25 Currently empty. Awaiting a swarm or a split to grow.
